MARTIN, Jacob born September 13, 1742 Middlesex, New Jersey and died June 1, 1830 Warrenton, Jefferson Co., Oh.

**Rev. War Soldier Captian, New Jersey Continental Line. Jacob Martin entered into the Rev. War June 1776 and was discharged December 23, 1777. He was a 1st Lieut. of Forman's Reg., New Jersey Militia and Captian to the Fourth Battalion, Second Establishment, New Jersey Continental Line. He married Elizabeth Dunham February 22, 1764d in Piscataway, Middlesex, New Jersey. She was born February 17, 1747 and died February 21, 1826 in Jefferson County, Ohio. According to "The History of Belmont and Jefferson Counties, Ohio" by J. A. Caldwell (pg. 438) Jacob Martin was part of Jefferson County, Ohio's Bar Association and became a judge in 1801. He, along with other pioneers, worked to lay out the townships for Jefferson County. Jacob and Elizabeth Dunham Martin had eleven children; Isabella, Rebecca, Dunham, Dinah, Jonathan, Jesse, Pyatt, George Albert, Elizabeth, Sarah and Catherine


MARTIN, Dunham died December 9, 1827 in the 58th year of his age.


MARTIN, Esther died December 14, 1810 Aged 36 years 7 months; wife of Dunham Martin; "Triumphing in the full faith of the gospel & of a welcome reception into the mantions of the light & glory; The text spoken from at her funeral Ish. 3rd chapter 10th vers. "Say ye to the righteous that it shall be well with Him for they shall eat the fruit of their doings." Death as a sleep or gentle doze does every weary saint compose lay its pain and grief remove, conveys the soul to worlds above."


MARTIN, Deborah died May 28, 1814 Aged 31 years 11 months 19 days; The 2nd wife of Dunham Martin; Were married 7th month and 19 days. "Her life was a greeable to the gospel, love, meekness, and humility we ar her delight she resigned her sperit with love & joy into the care of Jesus the beloved of her soul. The Lord givieth & the Lord taketh away and the blessed be the name of the Lord."


MARTIN, Jacob died July 20, 1828 Aged 10 years and -- days; Son of Dunham and Mary Martin.

MARTIN, Jesse Esqr died May 20, 1852 In the 79th year of his age. "Death where is thy gloomey prision, Christ has burst the massey door. I shall rise for He has risen above, He has gone before."

MARTIN, Eliza Jane died September 7, 1853 Aged 5 years 8 months and 7 days; Daughter of I & M. E. Martin.


MARTIN, John W. died August 8, 1828 Aged 8 years 4 months and 4 days.


MARTIN, Maria died August 13, 1828 Aged 3 years 4 months and 5 days.

SCAMAHORN, William T. died April 21, 1889 In the 73rd year of his age; "A Precious One From Us Is Gone".


SCAMAHORN, Ann Eliza died January 16, 1854 Aged 22 years 3 months 11 days; Wife of Wm Scamahorn.


SCAMAHORN, Annalisa born November 4, 1853 died February 5, 1856 Daughter of Wm T. & A Scamahorn; "An open bud to heaven conveyed and bloomed here."


SCAMAHORN, John C. born October 17, 1851 died July 19, 1870 Son of Wm T. & A Scamahorn; "Death is always frightening; more so when produced by lighting."


WHITE, S -- died February 16, 1833 In the 20th year of her age; Consort of J--n White; "My Saviour shall my life restore, and raise -- my dark abode; no more---."
